Some films have been rated as to their corset-visibility, using little 's.
One denotes little corsetry, while is a VERY GOOD corset-film.
Films with "lacing" scenes are denoted with "Lacing".
Films with corsets UNDER gowns only are denoted with "Gowns".
Obviously, these ratings have little to do with a critical evaluation of the film itself.

Scene on the wedding night with the new Madame Bovary in elaborate corset. Doctor Bovary lacing his wife. Extreme close up of the laces being pulled out, later 2-shots of them together showing what he is doing in context. He again doubts that she should be "tight-lacing" and finally announces, "It won't go any tighter," and ties the laces off. 1920---- Gowns THE MARK OF ZORRO (MARGUERITE DE LA MOTTE)
1998---- THE MASK OF ZORRO (CATHERINE ZETA-JONES) 6 still-clips plus
A very lame Hollywood "corset" (which does not look boned) for the small dueling scene. However, Ms. Zeta Jones looks good in it, as she has a very slight figure. The slit petticoat looks blatantly anachronistic, though...
Talented Miss Foster has never been more attractive that how she appears in this film: in a very tight-waisted blue evening gown (at the beginning).

Features a lacing-up scene with Ms. Wright saying to her maid unattractively, "Strap me up," and the process is over in seconds, without making a visible difference to her waist,
while her stays are very obviously not laced properly close afterwards. When we see her from behind, they are close at the top and get more and more open towards the bottom. (Reviewed by Stephen K.)

2007----LA MÔME a/k/a "La Vie en rose" --French (MARION COTILLARD)
1918 brothel corsets
1951-----MONTE CARLO BABY (AUDREY HEPBURN) Still-clips
1971----MON ONCLE ANTOINE --French-Canadian
There's a rather exotic scene where Alexandrine, the haughty wife of the local notary, calls into the village store to inquire whether her special corset has been delivered. The lady
proprietor tells her it has arrived and suggests she goes upstairs for a fitting. Two boys working in the store sneak upstairs and watch through a crack in the door while she undresses
and tries it on. Sadly, there are only brief glimpses of the fitting but the atmosphere surrounding Alexandrine's visit and the look of pleasure on her face when she is told it has arrived
is compelling. The action starts about two minutes into the clip and runs for about 4 minutes overall. (Raymond S.)
1961---- Gowns MORGAN THE PIRATE (VALERIE LAGRANGE)
In 'Supplemental Materials' on the DVD disk 2, under

Ms. Kidman certainly knows how to compliment a corset!
UNK---- MRS. THORNTON (GREER GARSON)

2008---MURDOCH MYSTERIES - TVS
Season 8, Episode 12 "The Devil Wears Whalebone" - Murdoch discovers that fashion is murder when a model is killed during a protest at a designer corset show.
There's a curious mix of historical accuracy and 21st century revisionism, not unexpected in a show like this. And some of the 'science' around corsetry and corsets, including a unique
one at the heart of this mystery, is stretched a bit too far. But take it for what it is: light entertainment, not to be taken too seriously, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The final scene is an
unexpected surprise, quite suggestive, but tasteful and well done. Reader review
